Charis's blog is one of my favorite blogs that I have been lucky enough to come across. While I have slightly different political views, it has been amazing to read her perspectives. I am not so set that I can't learn and life is about learning. I encourage you to read Charis's blog and listen to and digest her words. Her views on how I want people to see me as a disabled person are spot on. I just can't say enough positive things about all of her writings.

I am number 158 on The Faces of Ankylosing Spondylitis. I was added to the page about 8 years ago and that was really the first time I realized that I could connect with others that understood this disease I had always dealt with alone. It is because of Cookie that I started this podcast. Her tireless and selfless giving is something I hope I can give to the AS community via the podcast.
